Re: Ordinal response different coeffecient for each response cat

Can please someone explain how to test if the odds are proportional, like shown here: http://www.cmm.bristol.ac.uk/MLwiN/tech ... models.pdf on page 14.
How do I decide if thats the case?

Ordinal response different coeffecient for each response cat

Hi,
I followed the steps from chapter 11 and set up a model for my parent-satisfaction-study.
Now I would love to know how to decide wether the differences between coeffecient are considered small (like on page 164 of the 2008 manual) or not.

My lowest level of satisfaction has a little number of ...

ALOGit Function [solved]

Hi,
I am just wondering what the difference between the ALOG-function in MLWin and the one from other programms is.
For example in http://www.cmm.bristol.ac.uk/MLwiN/download/MCMC-09.pdf
is calculated on page 133 ALOG of -0,437 as 0.39246
If I do this with MLWin I get the same result. (I assumed ...

Re: Ordinal variables as a response

Hi,
I also dont know how to delete cases with missing data.
I tried the Listwise menu but I dont know the value (in the data view MISSING is shown but missing dont work).
So is there a way to delete all cases with missing values?
Thx for your help

Re: Ordinal variables as a response

Hi,
I tried to work as described in chapter 11 and I got told I should care about my missing values as no missing values are allowed in this kind of modells.
Now I am kind of stuck as I wonder how to deal with this.
I got 1200 parents from 76 classes.
If I included all my predictors the number of ...

Ordinal response /how to delete missing values [solved]

Hi,
maybe it's not the right place to ask but if it isn't maybe someone can tell me where to do.
I 've gathered data on the satisfaction of parents )(n=1195) with their kidsprimary school. The data are hierarchical (8 to 24 parents from 2 classes eachfrom 41 schools).
The problem is that the ...
