Re: large dataset & worksheet size limitation
Dear George,
Thanks a lot. Increase of RAM allocated by runmlwin to MlWin manually seems to have done the trick. The model runs. However, I seem to get quite divergent results for some of the variables of interest using mql1 and MCMC. The model is fitted with MCMC based on the initial values ...

large dataset & worksheet size limitation
Greetings,
I am currently working with a large dataset of about 800,000 obs and 330 group obs at level 2 and 80 group obs at level 3. While I managed to run a multinomial regression within the multilevel setting using mql1, I couldn't estimate it based on this with mcmc. MLwin keeps crashing ...

Re: Retrieving LogLikelihood for mlogit or bivariate logit m
Please disregard this message as I've just found the answer on the RUNMLWIN forum. I'll fit the final model using MCMC and get the Bayesian DIC to compare the models. Thanks, Julia

Retrieving LogLikelihood for mlogit or bivariate logit model
Greetings,
I would appreciate your advice on the following. I need to report log likelihood for my mlogit or bivariate logit multilevel model. When the results are imported back into STATA they do not seem to show model Log Likelihood. So they neighter seem to be reported within MLWin. Is there any ...

Re: Error message regarding level 1 ID variable - Obsno is h
Dear Chris,
Apologies for not getting back to you earlier. I wanted to check all my earlier to specifications to see if I can replicate earlier results and it took quite a lot of my time given the size of the dataset and the computational time it requires to run a 3-level model using mcmc ...

Re: Error message regarding level 1 ID variable - Obsno is h
Dear Chris,
Following your advice I've overcome the problem with the original error message regaring my level 1 ID variable, but I seem to encounter another problem. After getting provisional estimates for MQl1 and resuming macro MLwin produces another message saying that MLwin stopped working and ...
