It appears that the MRC website where this is normally available had some problems recently. WinBUGS/OpenBUGS are now available again from following page:

Re: Binary outcome Multiple membership model
Thanks for this extra information. From what you say I think that the problem was that R isn't aware that the different ID columns making up the multiple membership are in any related. When you make a factor variable R will set the underlying value to 1..N where N is the number of unique values and ...

Re: install MLwiN
We provide a scripting-only version of MLwiN (available from https://www.cmm.bristol.ac.uk/clients/softwaredownload/ ) that has a native version for the Mac. You may also be able run the GUI version through a virtual machine or compatibility layer (see https://www.bristol.ac.uk/cmm/software/mlwin/fe...

Re: MLwiN
You can specify this with the norecode option within the residual sub-options (for details of this and other settings see help runmlwin within Stata)

Higher level predictors can be continuous, so there is no reason that you couldn't add those variables too.

Re: Error running multinomial logit model with random slopes
Can you confirm which versions of MLwiN and R2MLwiN you are using? This looks like am error in the MLwiN macro that has been generated by R2MLwiN. It is trying to set a random slope for the predictor named Gender. No, not well prepared , which doesn't seem to exist in the data it is working on. Could...

Re: system missing in cross-classified models
Which version of MLwiN were you using to run these model? MLwiN should treat zero as a valid ID (unless you are running a multiple membership model) so I am not sure of the cause for what you are seeing. One thing that you can do is to remove the nopause option from your runmlwin command and then lo...

Re: Problem with import start parsing
MLwiN version 2.01 is almost 20 years old, predating Realcom-Impute, and therefore doesn't have the facilities to load imputed datasets created by this. I suggest updating to the most recent version via the form at https://www.cmm.bristol.ac.uk/clients/softwaredownload/ and checking whether you get ...

Could you please provide the MLwiN version number that you are running, as well as the steps taken up to the point of the crash?

Re: mlwinfitMCMC object fitted values (propensity scores) storage
You should be able to do this with the overloads that R2MLwiN provides for the generic predict ( https://stat.ethz.ch/R-manual/R-devel/library/stats/html/predict.html ) function. To find more information on the syntax supported in R2MLwiN run: help("predict.mlwinfitIGLS") or: help("pr...
