Re: Bivariate Logistic Distribution

I forgot to also mention that for MCMC multivariate models in MLwiN the only link function you can use for a binomial response is probit. This is because it fits the response as a latent variable in a multivariate normal model (see Bayesian analysis of Binary and Polychotomous Response Data ). You s...

Re: STATA 18

If you are still encountering this problem could you please provide examples of syntax that worked previously and is now causing problems?

Re: Bivariate Logistic Distribution

To answer the first question, you can model bivariate logistic models with R2MLwiN. To do this you would add the following option to your model specification " D = c("Mixed", "Binomial", "Binomial") ". For an example of this in the context of a model see the l...

Re: Runmlwin Wrong Parameters

Could you please try adding the viewfullmacro option to your runmlwin command and post the MLwiN script that this generates?

Re: Binary outcome Multiple membership model

I think that you would need to post your full syntax before we can determine what is going wrong. If you haven't already seen we do provide example syntax for bother multiple membership and binary response models at https://www.bristol.ac.uk/cmm/software/ ... /examples/.

Re: Need help with using R2MLwiN

If you are running it on Windows then the trial version of MLwiN should work with R2MLwiN (except that for each model you will have to click the "accept trial" button). If you are running on a Mac or Linux machine then you will need to run the trial version under Wine so that it thinks it ...

Re: Need help with using R2MLwiN

Although we do provide a Mac-native scripting version of MLwiN with the full version of the software this is unfortunately not the case with the 30-day trial. In order to run this on a Mac you will either need to install it in a Windows virtual machine or via Wine (see https://www.bristol.ac.uk/cmm/...

Re: Units - Using the full data set

Could you check in the "Names" window that all of the columns used in the model (including the column "cons") are the same length? It sounds like you may have one included that only contains one row, which would result in this length being used when calculating the number of units.
