Variance explained by model for ordinal variable

Post by obesityboy »

Hi everyone,

I have an ordinal independent variable that I have used in a 4 level model, using MCMC. Is there a way I can calculate how much variance the model explains for each level? In the past I have followed Snijders and Bosker's theshold representation method when working with 2 level models but can't find a way to do it with 3 or more levels.

Many thanks

Nick
