Repeated Measures Models for Poisson Data

Post by emmastone1 »

Hi Everyone,

I was wandering if anyone can point me in the right direction, I need to do some repeated measures models on poisson distributed data and wandered if there are any course materials or workbooks that could guide me through it in MLWIN as I really want to do it in MLWIN.

Thanks

I don't know of any materials specifically for repeated measures Poisson models, but I think if you look at repeated measures materials and at Poisson materials the two should just slot together. (Though more challenging this way than if there were specific materials, I realise- good luck!). There's repeated measures materials in the User's Guide (Chapter 13), though I would recommend instead taking a look at this page of the CMM website http://www.cmm.bristol.ac.uk/learning-t ... pics.shtml, which has some slides called 'Multilevel models for longitudinal data' and a practical called 'Modelling repeated measures on physical health functioning in MLwiN'- these are better than the manual chapter. The manual also has a chapter on Poisson models (Chapter 12), and there's a presentation here http://www.cmm.bris.ac.uk/MLwiN/tech-su ... ndex.shtml , though this is limited on how to do it in MLwiN (lots of Equations window screen shots and graphs but no details about how to get there).
