How to access and use data from CMM Bristol for academic research?

Hello everyone in the CMM Bristol forum,
I am a student doing a research project on population and social behavior modeling. I know that CMM provides many useful datasets and simulation tools. However, I am still quite confused and do not know how to register, access data as well as use the center's software. Can anyone with experience guide me through the basic steps to get started? In addition, I would like to ask if there are any special requirements for using data for academic research?
