Design vector problem

Post by misindec »

Dear Members, while trying to build an ordinal modal in MlwiN, I got an error message which states "design vector at level 2 is the wrong length (moni)". I have seen some one also raised the same question way back in 2011 but i did not see any response to it. Does any one know what the problem I encounter and how to manage it?

Thanks for your responses in advance.

I would need to see the worksheet to be able to get an idea of exactly why this is occurring. Does the data contain missing values, and in particular are there entire higher level units that are missing? If that is the case it may be worth listwise deleting these and seeing whether you still get the same issue.

Thanks Chris,
It seems you are right. The problem could have been missing data and when I deleted the missing cases, it has worked so far. Let me try to continue and see what comes out.
