Dear all,
I tried to replicate the examples of chapter 4 (repeated meausures data) of the Mlwin user guide for v2.26 with the given data. I have version 2.28.
I can replicate all the descriptive statistics. My model specification for the baseline model is the same as on page 203.
But I get the wrong coefficients (b0ij = 7.125, u0j = 4.639, e0ij = 0000, see also the attachment). I cannot find the error.
Who can help me?
Many thanks in advance,
Claudia

I can't see from the screen-shot that you provided however I suspect that you either have the wrong level IDs, or you have level-1 and level-2 the wrong way around.

Thank you very much for your quick answer!
I followed the instructions of chapter 13. My level1-ID is student (made of ID following the instructions on page 198), my level2-ID is occasion (ibid). I attached a screen shot of the data worksheet.

As the example is modelling occasions within students you need to put student as the level-2 ID and occasion as the level-1 ID. I have attached a copy of the worksheet with this model set up, which you will see has results that match those in the manual.
