New version of MLWin Not Recognizing Missing Values
I am trying to open files created within a lower version of MLwin within the latest version. The program seems to be converted the missing values to the default in the new version, but it is not recognizing this default as missing. That is, in the names window, no missing data is indicated even though the range of the variable includes the default missing value. Also, in the numbers/missing value window, the default is listed as the missing value. Is there any way to get the new version of MlwIn to recognize missing data in files created with an older version of the program?

Re: New version of MLWin Not Recognizing Missing Values
Do you happen to know which version of MLwiN the problematic worksheets were saved with? MLwiN uses a very large negative value (-9.999e29) to signify missing data. It could be that somehow your previously missing values have deviated from this slightly and are no longer recognised as such. If this is the case you could recode your data by range to set anything outside the range of your actual data to missing, which should reassign the correct value.
