interaction graph in black and white (no colors)

Dear all,

I have a basic question regarding how to plot a graph of an interaction (with 2 groups) in black and white.
I used the "customised predictions" and the graph appears with two lines (green and blue). It is perfect except that I would like to publish this graph in a white and black journal (journal without color).
Here is my problem.
When I specify "line and point" in the "plot what" tab and then chose a symbol in the "plot style" tab (in the customised graph window), the symbol is the same for the two lines ! How can I have, instead of color, different symbols for the two lines?

Thank you for your help and sorry to post such a basic quesiton.

Best regards, sophie

There are three ways that I can think of for doing this.

1) The most simple is to right click the graph and choose "Customisation Dialog...", then click the "style" tab and set the style you want for each subset. Changes made this way won't be reflected when you save the worksheet.

2) Alternatively you could copy the "x" variable that you are graphing into two columns, one for each category and set the values that don't apply to missing. You could then plot these as two separate lines rather than using the "group" option, allowing you to set the symbol for each line.

3) You copy the relevant variables to another package that you are familiar with and do the graphing there.

Thank you very much Chris,

I chose the first option you proposed, and I worked perfectly well, thank you !
