The Centre for Multilevel Modelling has used reasonable efforts to monitor the content of this website and individual resources placed in LEMMA (Learning Environment for Multilevel Methods and Applications). If however, you are of the opinion that any resource, item or work within LEMMA:-

  • Is a disproved research method or out of date method ;or
  • Has infringed your intellectual property rights ;or
  • Has infringed your moral rights in a Work ; or
  • Is offensive or unacceptable in some other way;

Please immediately contact us at lemma-help@bristol.ac.uk with the following information, in writing and duly signed (including an electronic signature) which sets out:-

  1. The name of the Work;
  2. Its location within LEMMA;
  3. The manner or category of complaint and the reasons why;
  4. Any supporting or substantiating evidence you have to support your statement in 3.

The LEMMA project management team will review any complaint or take down request as soon as possible and will take such action it considers appropriate in the circumstances. This may include, but shall not be limited to, any of the following courses of action:

  • Temporary removal of the item from LEMMA whilst the complaint is being investigated (in which case the URL will remain);
  • Removal of the item from LEMMA but a URL showing the presence of the original Work is likely to remain;
  • No further action

The LEMMA project management team will use reasonable endeavours to provide you with a response on your complaint within 10 working days.

Please also note that your full letter/email of complaint will be kept on record for 6 years for legal reasons and shall be processed and kept in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and subordinate legislation. The data controller is the University of Bristol, unless otherwise stated. The University's data protection policy and guidelines are available from Legal Services. By submitting a complaint you therefore consent to the University of Bristol holding your letter/email plus any personal information contained in the same for 6 years. However any personal information contained therein will not be passed to any third party without your consent, except where we are under a statutory obligation or entitled to do so by law.
