Does runmlwin help me to run social relations modeling?

Post by kurt0509 »

Hi,

I have a question about the runmlwin command. I became interested in MLWIN software because it allows me analyze dyadic data based on social relations modeling (SRM). I am actually more familiar with using STATA than MLWIN and wonder if the installation of runmlwin commands allows me to use all the function from the MLWIN software including the analysis for Social Relations Modeling. Any advice will be very much appreciated.

Hi Kurt,

You can use runmlwin to fit any model that you can specify manually in MLwiN (via point or click) or via an MLwiN macro (e.g. Tom Snijders macros for fitting social relations models)

Best wishes

George
