appropriate level

Post by Katerinaki »

Hi everybody

I am looking on class level teacher's behavior. I got IDCLASS, IDTEACH and also I got TEACH+CLASS:IDTEALIN together, IDCLASS and IDTEACH has the same ID is this a problem?

I was thinking to use levels country-teacher-class-student,
country-teacher-student
country-class-student
country-tealin-student

How can I check which of this is most appropriate??or if it is something obvious that I am confused....

Thank you for your help

Do the teachers teach more than one class? If so then you may want to look into cross-classified and multiple membership models (see chapters 15 and 16 in the MCMC guide (http://www.bris.ac.uk/cmm/software/mlwi ... mc-web.pdf). If not then I don't think that you can distinguish their effects from each other and you will only want to include one.
