multiple imputation macro not working

Post by nmimunro »

Hi
I'm trying to get the multiple imputation macro to work following macro_instructions.pdf, p.8 and using the sample data provided in file prac2full.ws . I get the following error everytime I try it:
->obey mi

MULTIPLE IMPUTATION OPTIONS: VERSION 2.23, July 2011
====================================================
no. of imputations: b20 = 5
no. updates between imputations: b21 = 50
col. to start storing imputations: b22 = 300
pause before fitting imputation model: No, b23 = 0
single level imputation only: No, b24 = 0
any level 2 units with all data missing at level 1? No, b25 = 0
estimation method for model of interest: RIGLS, b26 = 0
stop after imputation (b27=1) Neither, b27 = 0
or pause to check trace (b27 = 2)?
burn in of MCMC sampler (default 501): b28 = 501
=================================================================

0) Testing for non-normal model...Detected normal model
1) Recording model of interest...Done
2) Setting up imputation model...
error while obeying batch file mi_setup_binary.txt at line number 84:
start

Column of level 1 ids not specified

Can anyone help me?

thanks

I don't have these macros and their documentation to hand, however this error indicates that no level-1 identifier has been defined in the model.
